Naomi Osaka, who opened up the discussion in the tennis realm about mental health, hailed Selena Gomez’s documentary. Singer-songwriter Selena Gomez came out about her battles with mental health through her documentary. After her, Chris Evert too praised the documentary and expressed her views through Twitter.

Battling mental health issues is not field-specific. From common people to celebrities, people have struggled with it despite their name and fame.
After Naomi Osaka, Chris Evert hails Selena Gomez’s documentary
American tennis legend Chris Evert recently watched the documentary of world-renowned singer-songwriter, Selena Gomez. In the documentary, she detailed her experience with mental health issues. Evert hailed her for coming out with her story so boldly and letting people know about her battles and struggles.

However, she also saw the meaning behind it which was inspirational and motivating for the viewer. She stated, “Selena Gomez documentary, My Mind and Me, is a must-see. Addressing mental health issues like depression, loneliness, anxiety… We all have been there and Selena’s story is raw and sad, but also inspirational!”
Apart from her, four-time Grand Slam champion, Naomi Osaka, also hailed Gomez for the documentary. Osaka has always been honest with her mental health issues and this has sensitized people about the issues that top-tier players go through.

Mental health issues amongst top-tier players and athletes
It is not just Osaka who has come out with her battles. Her initiative to speak up about it led other players to open up about their own issues too.

Former World No 1 Chris Evert is also one of them. She related to Gomez’s documentary because even she has suffered from this. She opened up about the therapy that she took after getting divorced from her third husband, Greg Norman.
