Ohanian is also a big fan of women’s sports and has recently made an investment in Angel City FC, a team in the National Women’s Soccer League. He was recently seen having a conversation about the football league NWSL with one of the fans.

Yesterday, Alexis Ohanian took to Twitter and posted a video related to the NWSL crowd. He wrote “nO oNe WAnTS to wATCh wOmeN’s spoRTs. (32,000+ for a regular season @NWSL match).

In response to this particular tweet, a fan came up with a counter-argument by saying, “It’s not womens sports. It’s WNBA. And this is another reason why men laugh. Because you showed a half-empty crowd to make your point. Men’s league would be sold out. You showed half the stadium empty.

Ohanian, in return, came up with a cheeky reply. He said, “Poor dude can’t even read (emoji)  that is max capacity. Reading is fundamental my guy.”

Alexis Ohanian said in a recent interview that he never cared about sports as a kid. The 39-year-old was initially disinterested. But he became enthusiastic after meeting and marrying Serena Williams. His appreciation for women’s sports grew as he watched Serena from the stands.

Women’s sports are underfunded and underappreciated in comparison to their male counterparts. But tennis is a game that has come a long way in bringing people together from different backgrounds. He further went on to say that tennis is a wonderful equalizer because the prize money at major tournaments is split evenly between the sexes. Moreover, he advocated for equal coverage of women’s and men’s tennis matches in both the media and on the court.
