The tennis legend, Martina Navratilova‘s sudden cancer detection has turned her life upside down. The 59-time Grand Slam champion had a lot of things planned with her wife, Julia Lemigova. But recently, the former tennis star’s wife revealed that they have decided to put a pause on all their upcoming projects.

Before the former world number one’s cancer was detected in January, the couple had planned a lot of things and had decided on some major changes that they wanted to bring into their lives this year itself. But destiny had different plans for her this year.

The 59-time Grand Slam champion’s wife recently made an appearance on the Real Housewives of Miami reunion with host Andy Cohen. In that conversation, the 50-year-old former model revealed they have put their adoption plans on hold for the moment and are focusing on the 66-year-old tennis legend’s cancer treatment.

She said, “When you’re adopting a child, it has to be about the child. And right now it’s everything about Martina and for her getting health. We’re putting it on hold. Even the sad moments seem to be so not important.”

However, the host was surprised to hear this and asked the former Russian model if they were in the process of adoption or not.

To which the tennis star replied that she is just waiting for the former tennis player to get better. Lemigova never misses a chance to show her wife her support and affection. And previously, she made it clear that they would fight cancer together as a team.

Julia Lemigova plans to support her wife through tough times

Back in January, the former tennis player shared the shocking news of her cancer detection with her fans. Everyone from the tennis world showed their support. Moreover, the former Russian model took to her Instagram account to show her support with an emotional message.

Additionally, she also explained that they will face double cancer fearlessly together as a team. The legendary tennis player has been diagnosed with throat and breast cancer. Notably, a few days ago, Lemigova also got her hair chopped to show her support towards her wife.
