In March, women’s tennis icon Martina Navratilova announced that she had won her battle against both breast and throat cancer. To celebrate Navratilova’s successful recovery from her dual cancer diagnosis, Julia Lemigova, Navratilova’s wife, hosted a joyous event. Lemigova, who is a ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ star, invited several high-profile names. Among them was her Real Housewives of Miami housemate Guerdy Abraira.

Abraira herself, recently, revealed publicly that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. However, despite her breast cancer diagnosis, she remains upbeat. Abraira was in high spirits at Lemigova’s event, and she took to Instagram to share a post that reflected her positive outlook.

Guerdy Abraira celebrates Martina Navratilova’s recovery

Following the announcement of her breast cancer diagnosis, Abraira also announced that she will undergo surgery. After turning up to Lemigova’s event in elegant attire and turning heads, she shared an Instagram post. Through the post, she congratulated Navratilova and also expressed her optimism regarding her own chances of beating the disease.

Abraira wrote, “About last night celebrating @martinanavratilova successful ending to her cancer treatment! I GOT NEXT ✔️ | @julialemigova @realadrianademoura you both did a magnificent job with this event ❤️”. One of her hashtags showed her fighting spirit as she wrote, “#f**kcancer”.

Both Navratilova and Lemigova would be hoping for the best for Abraira as she prepares for her surgery. At the same time, Navratilova’s inspirational recovery from two types of cancer should also encourage Abraira.

Lemigova’s emotional rollercoaster ride following Navratilova’s double cancer diagnosis

Navratilova’s first encounter with breast cancer happened in 2010. She successfully recovered back then as well following surgery and radiation therapy. However, her 2023 cancer diagnosis was drastically different. This time around, Sharapova had a wife, who was shattered when she received the news.

Ultimately though, Lemigova came out of her emotional rollercoaster happy and content as Navratilova announced her cancer-free state. At the moment, both of them will be hoping that Navratilova has left her cancer demons well and truly behind her.
