Serena, while in an interview with Vogue in 2016, spoke about the 2009 Australian Open incident. She brought it up when asked about the most bizarre fan moment and said, “this guy in Australia comes on the court naked, run in front of me and Venus and starts just grinding.

The former world no.1s were playing a doubles match when the man wearing only a shirt jumped on the court, sprinted along the sidelines and made several dance moves. Though shortly the security caught the man and he was eventually arrested and banned from the event.

He caused a disturbance for around 14 seconds and Serena later stated that his interruption didn’t affect her much. The Williams sisters rather focused on defeating Japan’s Ayumi Morita and Germany’s Martina Muller 6-3, 6-3.
