For two of the greatest tennis players of all time, Venus and Serena Williams, the number of siblings on their father’s side, is somewhat perplexing. Other than their own small sibling clan, the Williams sisters didn’t really know their stepbrothers or stepsisters. Similarly, there was a time when the legendary 23-time Grand Slam champion was completely baffled by a mysterious man who kept referring to Richard as his father.

Not only that, but when asked about how many siblings the American tennis legend has from the father’s side, she literally lost count after naming a few.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion was questioned in that same documentary about how many siblings she has on her father’s side. The tennis pro initially retorted that this is a bad question for her to answer. But she then began by naming a couple of her siblings, but after four names, she couldn’t remember her other siblings.
