‘I have never flown with him’ – Danielle Collins
Breezing past Paula Badosa in her opening match at the Charleston Open, Collins talks to the media and admits to missing her dog. The reason behind this is that she hasn’t flown with him and doesn’t have the experience of knowing what it takes to fly with a dog. She also states that after her grueling practice sessions and matches, she doesn’t have much left in her to drive back 7 hours to see them,
She says, “I also needed to drive back home because I had my dog. I would have loved to bring him here, but I have never flown with him, so I’m not super familiar with how all of that works. And I just didn’t have it in me to drive seven hours.”
Collins adorably mentions getting withdrawals symptoms being away from him, “but I’m experiencing some sadness since he’s not here. It’s amazing. I don’t know, I thought I thought I was getting you know, him for, my like, emotional support and companion, you know companionship. I mean I get withdrawals from this, from this little guy.”
Even during her Miami Open stint’s media interactions, she was constantly talking about her dog, making them a rage among tennis fans. She would share adorable anecdotes of Quincy tuning in to watch her play and even went to call him the MVP of the tournament.

Gushing over her beloved pet, she crowned him the real MVP of the tournament and shared a video which was a compilation of Quincy getting belly rubs, playing catch with a tennis ball, and even tugging Collins down a corridor.
“Just wanted to do a very quick PSA! This year’s Miami Open MVP goes to my very handsome, very sophisticated, smart, loving, charismatic, ball of energy, my favorite son… Mister Q! Quincy, I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you sir!! 🏆⭐️✨💫,” she captioned her post.
