Alvin Ailey, an American dance theater, paid tribute to Serena Williams’ signature twirl that she does after winning a match. The 23-time grand slam champion has become an inspiration for her resilient and passionate attitude towards her sport.

She has let nothing phase her away from her goals and aspirations. Players usually get burned out after their peak, but she maintained her peak, and then when she could not perform well, she got up again and won more titles.

The American tennis legend has motivated a lot of people to be at their best. This has not come with words but due to her own actions both on and off the court. Alvin Ailey is a famous American Dance Theater. It paid a beautiful and meaningful tribute to Serena Williams, taking inspiration from her victory twirl celebration.

The dancers of the theater twirled, imitating the signature twirl of Serena. The voiceover in the video said, “Thank you for thinking outside the lines and encouraging us to evolve. Thank you for showing us how to love this sport and always loving us back.”
Be it dancers or pop music stars, a lot of renowned personalities have hailed Serena Williams. In the past, Drake and Nicki Minaj have referenced her in their songs.
Serena leads by example
Even when the player was criticized for her looks or her gameplay in her earlier days, Serena let her racquet do the talking. She has kept that trend even now. After not winning a grand slam after 2017 and announcing her retirement; she has regained her form at the US Open.

In the second round, Serena defeated world no.2 Anett Kontaveit and now will face Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the hard-court major.
