It’s no secret that Richard Williams has played a pivotal role in their journey to becoming the legends they are today. In Macci’s tweet, he put forth Richard’s amazing policy to maintain love and peace in his family.

Discussing the rivalry between Serena and Venus Williams, Rick shifted the focus to the man who started all of it. Richard Williams shaped the sisters alongside Macci in a lot of aspects. Be it their prowess in tennis or media handling capabilities.

Macci mentions that Serena has kept an upper hand in the practice sessions. Serena indeed is a force of nature on the court. Practicing with another affluent player like Venus only makes her abilities stronger.

When counting the singles title, Serena comes up a little ahead of her sister. Venus has won 49 singles titles in total while Serena has 73 tags. Yet, Richard had a different opinion about them.

Richard Williams’ decision to prioritize harmony over competition

Richard Williams prefers using knives and forks at dinner. Suggesting that he aimed for a harmonious family, not a competition between daughters. Rivalry on the court does indeed get quite aggressive in some cases. He simply didn’t want the sisters to be despising each other in their personal lives.

“Richard wanted knives and forks to be used at Dinner so they never played as he knew V would Always be the Winner! GOAT QUALITIES AS A DAD BUT FAMILY FIRST.”

This decision meant they didn’t play against each other because Richard believed that Venus would always be the winner. He emphasized the importance of family and prioritizing their well-being over competition.
