Ever since her playing days, Martina Navratilova has always been someone to stand for what she believes and was never afraid to let the world see her true self. Getting her words to life, the 59-time Grand Slam champion made the headlines in 2014 by marrying her girlfriend, Julia Lemigova. Ever since then, the two have been public about their lives, clearly giving couple goals to the world.

A glimpse of their love was seen in December last year when Lemigova became a member of the cast of the iconic reality show, ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’. While Lemigova enjoyed the newfound television stardom, Navratilova, on the other hand, made sure to not let fame hamper their relationship. Two days after Christmas, Navratilova opened up about her sacrifice to keep her relationship alive.

Two weeks before Christmas last year, Navratilova and Lemigova moved into their new abode, a waterfront house in Miami Beach. Moving to a new place, it is needless to say the two weren’t well versed with the brand-new equipment’s that was installed in their home.

Opening up about their Christmas engagement, Navratilova asserted, “Cooking Christmas dinner.”  “We had to heat the ovens the day before to run through the cycle to burn off all the chemicals, because everything is brand new,” she further added.

Ever since her retirement from the sport, the former World No. 1 has positioned herself in society as a tennis expert and analyst. Considering the position, it goes without saying that she regularly comes on-air for interviews and interactions. She is also one of the official presenters of the Wimbledon Championships every year.

However, despite having such on-air experience, the Czech-American didn’t shy away from admitting that she has camera hesitation. Being asked if filming is fun for her, Navratilova admitted, “It’s fun for her (Lemigova). Me, I run away from cameras. You know me.”
