The reigning Wimbledon Champion at that moment donned a pair of custom-made white sneakers by Nike, which was highlighted with a 24-carat encrust and Sharapova’s first name on the back. Sharing the pictures, this page wrote- “A touch of gold. In 2005, defending champion @mariasharapova wore custom-made gold-trimmed footwear encrusted with 24-carat gold droplets on Centre Court.”

Sharing the same post on her official Instagram handle as a story, the world’s former number-one WTA star expressed two emotions. First, Sharapova wrote “the gold shoes” and added two big eyes emojis to showcase her surprise. Second, she also added- “24 carat gold” in the next picture that she shared with a similar amusement. The former world’s number-one tennis star’s reaction was priceless. She was surprised about her previous fashion choices.
