Maria Sharapova has dated a few notable figures in her life. However, she has not been with anyone for as long as she has been with her current beau, Alexander Gilkes. Sharapova recently shared on her Instagram story a lovely picture of her family.

As Sharapova enjoys the downtime she has after her retirement from tennis, she shared a glimpse of her day with her fans. In 2022, Sharapova announced that she had a baby boy, who was named Theodore. Since then, the life of the former number 1 has changed immensely. The Russian player and her fiancé have become doting parents and spend all the time they can with their son.

Sharapova shared a picture of the time they are spending with Theodore. On her Instagram story, the five-time grand slam champion’s followers can see Gilkes with their son on his lap. They are reading a book in the picture, which the former player captioned, “Papa 🐻“.

Of all the individuals Sharapova has dated, she has never had a stronger relationship than with the British businessman.

Sharapova and Gilkes always leave their followers with an adorable moment. The two first started dating a year after Gilkes went through his first divorce. While only rumors flew at first, the Russian player confirmed the news in 2018. The two went strong for a long time after they came out of long-term relationships.

Two years after they started dating, Gilkes popped the big question. The Russian beauty, breaking many hearts, agreed to marry the entrepreneur in 2020. In the Instagram post she shared, Sharapova stated that she said ‘Yes’ from the beginning. While they are yet to get married, the two had a son in 2022.
