23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams has announced a comeback. The American tennis legend stepped out of the circuit owing to a hamstring injury that she suffered at the 2021 Wimbledon Championship. Now, after almost a year, she will pick up her game at the same venue where she left off.

While this news has lightened up every Serena fan’s face, there is one who is smiling broader than others. Alexis Ohanian, the tennis legend’s husband, and biggest cheerleader, is overwhelmed with joy.

Alexis Ohanian is pumped up for Serena Williams’ return

A delighted Ohanian took on Twitter to share the greatest news of this year. He wrote, “Looks like S has a business trip to England.” 

Williams will travel to England a week prior to the major event to play doubles at Eastbourne. The former World No.1 has joined forces with reigning Madrid Open champion Ons Jabeur for the doubles quest at the WTA 500 event. This will be the 40-year-old’s third appearance at the Rothesay international.
