At the age of 20, Coco Gauff has already clinched a Grand Slam title, while she has also established herself in the top 3 rankings on the women’s tour. With her remarkable tennis accolades, the American player is now inspiring others, not just in the sporting community but also in Hollywood. The popular actress, Zendaya, was recently singing praises of Gauff during the screening of her sports/romance film, Challengers. Taking note of the American actress’ remarks, the tennis prodigy couldn’t hold herself back from dropping her reaction on social media.

During the screening of Challengers, Zendaya was recently asked if there is any tennis player who serves as an inspiration for her. The 27-year-old actress, who received training from Gauff’s coach, Brad Gilbert, for her tennis film, answered by saying, “I love Coco. I haven’t met her yet, but I sure hope so. Brad is her coach, so I’m like, ‘I want to meet her!'” After finding out that Zendaya wants to meet her, the American tennis prodigy, Gauff, recently took to her Instagram story to showcase her fangirl moment.

The reigning US Open champion said, “SCREAMING IN MY BED RN ILY TOO @zendaya ahhhh” Gauff was over the moon after being lavishly praised by Zendaya. Not just on her Instagram, but the young WTA sensation also dropped her reaction on Twitter. She tweeted, “ahhhhh❤️❤️❤️”

This is not the first time that Zendaya has delighted Gauff with an amazing gesture. Even after her maiden Grand Slam title in New York, the American player previously received a ‘huge’ surprise that later turned out to be the ‘coolest thing’ that happened to her.

In an interview with the Tennis Channel, Gauff said, “The coolest thing that happened to me, I think was Zendaya sending me flowers to my house.” She added, “It was like a huge bouquet of flowers and my brother and I had to lift it up to the table.
