However, when Gauff was going against the British player Burrage in the quarter-finals, she faced a slip of the hand. While serving, she misjudged the ball for a second. However, she quickly regained it back. However, there was a spectator who did not let go of this “silly” mistake of Gauff without making her feel embarrassed.

Seagulls, a prominent part of Eastbourne, are regular guests at the stadium too. Hence, when Gauff made the mistake, a seagull “laughed” loudly. Even if the seagull did not mean to, he sent the crowd into a spree of laughter. Even Gauff could not resist laughing at the joke.

Later on, as she shared a video of the incident, she stated, “not the bird making fun of my miss toss.” Telling her fans to “sound up”, she added, “couldn’t help but laugh with it.” The moment turned out to be hilarious amidst a grueling match.
