The Japanese tennis prodigy, Naomi Osaka has presently taken her time off from professional tennis. Just recently, she shared pictures from her 24th birthday celebration in Greece. It looks like she has extended her vacation as she has now posted snaps from Italy as the four-time Grand Slam champion has been seen wandering in the beautiful city of Rome.
Osaka withdrew from this year’s French Open and Wimbledon championships citing concerns about her mental health. However, she returned at the Flushing Meadows but unfortunately couldn’t pursue past their round. Since then, she hasn’t competed on the WTA Tour. As it stands, there’s still no certain news on her return to the tennis courts.

Naomi Osaka’s new vacation destination
Naomi Osaka is currently on a sabbatical from the tennis world. She played her last professional tennis match at US Open 2021. However, 19-years old, Leylah Fernandez ended the Japanese’s run in the third round at Flushing Meadows. Since then, Osaka has decided to stay away from the WTA tour.
Just recently, she celebrated her 24th birthday with close friends and family in Greece. Continuing her vacation, she has now shared lovely pictures from her new holiday destination. The former World No.1 is exploring the ravishing city of Rome in Italy. She posted some beautiful pictures on Instagram in an elegant dress and fancy red boots.

Osaka to drop out of top 10
For the second time in less than a month, the four-time Grand Slam champion will be dipping out of the top 10 WTA rankings. Presently, she’s in the tenth position with 3326 points. Ashleigh Barty of Australia leads the table with an enormous score of 9076. This eminent drop is no surprise to anyone given Osaka’s activity rate.
According to statistics, Osaka is set to drop out from the top 10 on 31st October when the rankings will be updated. WTA rankings are an overview of the players’ past 52-week performance. With not participating in this year’s French Open, Wimbledon, and the ongoing break, Osaka is bound to lose her position.
