The duo has always been vocal about their bond and it surely impacted their amazing doubles performances. Despite so much on and off-court bonding, bestie Badosa might have included one more special person on that list and that is Ons Jabeur.
Jabeur is partnering with the Spanish WTA star in the ongoing Stuttgart Open. However, this is not their debut partnership as the duo played together in both the Indian Wells and Miami Open last year. Last year, Paula Badosa star was asked to pick one between Ons Jabeur and Aryna Sabalenka as her favorite doubles partner. While she tried to remain politically correct by revealing how she loves pairing up with both, she ultimately kept Sabalenka a step further on the list. Badosa said- “I love both, I mean, it’s different. I’ve played many more with Aryna, but I enjoyed with both of them. I have played with Vika and yeah, I enjoy a lot playing with them. Well, me! and then Aryna.”
Badosa’s revelation showcases that she is comfortable partnering with both Sabalenka and Jabeur. However, given her more matches with Sabalenka, this Belarusian WTA prodigy holds a special place in her heart. Nevertheless, Ons Jabeur is also very close to Sabalenka’s position as the Spanish WTA star feels equally great playing with the Tunisian friend as her doubles partner.
