After coincidentally crossing paths with Alexis Ohanian in Rome, Serena Williams found her soulmate in him. From trying to scare him away to deciding to spend the rest of her life with him, Williams’ love life has come a long way. They are one of the most adored couples in tennis.

However, at the same time, many to this date wonder how two people with such drastically different professions found a balance and fell for each other. Also, a few have questions about the ‘nerdiness’ of Ohanian as well. Well, here’s Williams’ confession that will clear things out.

The 23 times Grand Slam champion while speaking to Billie Jean King a few months before tieing the knot with Ohanian, spoke about what makes him special. At first, King said, “I would never put you with a nerdy geek.” To which Williams responded. “Me neither. I’m going to be honest with you. But it’s been the best thing for me.”

Thereafter, she added, “He’s very loving, and he’s very kind. My mom says he’s very considerate and when she said that to me, I was like, you know, he really is. It’s the little things that really make a huge difference in life.”

The former World no.1 exchanged vows with the co-founder of Reddit on 16th November 2017 in New Orleans. Further, the couple welcomed their now five-year-old daughter, Olympia, as well. Speaking of her professional life, Williams claimed her 23rd majors title in Australia that season. Thus advancing in all aspects of her life.

The couple walked the red carpet of the new Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder’s premier.
