Talking about it, he said, “For me, the big difference I see between the Coco of before and the Coco of today is that she’s mentally more calm. She matured so much in the last two months. I’ve seen some big changes in her attitude on the court and the attitude is just the consequence of how you feel inside.”

Moments after her US Open victory, Coco Gauff had another reason to cheer. She replaced Iga Swiatek to clinch the top spot on the WTA rankings chart.

Meanwhile, another ex-coach of Serena Williams, Rennae Stubbs had an important message following Coco’s victory at Flushing Meadows.
Stubbs posts a heartwarming note
The 52-year-old took to Twitter to share a key message to young kids after 19-year-old Gauff won her maiden Grand Slam title. Following the celebrations of Gauff’s victory, Stubbs said, “This kid just won the US Open. Dream big kids. Dream big!” Serena’s ex-coach wanted to convey that like Gauff, kids can dream big and work towards it to achieve success.
