She has reached the finals and will face the world no. 1 Iga Swiatek in the finals of the clay court major. The American player has shown the world what tenacity and resilience can do. Serena Williams’ former coach shared a video of younger Coco Gauff sending an inspirational and motivating message to her future self.

A message from younger Coco Gauff 

Patrick Mouratoglou took to his Instagram to share the video of an 11-year-old Coco Gauff. He stated, “2015. A humble 11-year-old @cocogauff. A letter sent to her future self.” We could hear a young Coco Gauff saying, “I feel like I am one of the best in the world in my age group. Even in higher age groups. And, yeah, I prefer not to say it because I am not really a boastful person.”

She acknowledged her talent, however, stayed modest.  

“I am humble, but when I know that I am the best and I should always stay at the best and I was told, it is easier to get to the top, but it’s harder to stay there. My goal is to stay there and be better than when it comes to professional, I’ll be the greatest of all time.” It seems like the player is on the right way to manifest her dreams and end up being one of the greatest players of all time.

Rise of the American sensation

She has been consistent with her growth and her performance on the court is paving a way for her success. Coco Gauff defeated Martina Trevisan in the semi-finals to secure a position in the finals. She will now face the world no. Iga Swiatek in the finals of the French Open 2022.
