Serena Williams Extends Heartwarming Congratulations to LeBron James After His Company’s Recent Success

Apart from being the greatest tennis player of all time, former World No.1 Serena Williams is also a successful entrepreneur. She runs her company ‘Serena Ventures’ efficiently and is also the face of many big brands today.

After the career that Serena has had and the success she has enjoyed, she’s friends with some of the top athletes in the world. Serena and LeBron James, the NBA superstar, are great friends and Serena recently congratulated the ‘Akron Hammer’ for his company’s success.

Serena Williams congratulates LeBron James after his company receives a major boost

Recently, Maverick Carter and LeBron James’ firm, The SpringHill Company, received a huge investment from Nike, Epic Games, Redbird Capital, and Fenway Sports Group. As a result, the estimated value of the company has now shot up to $725 million.

Reacting to the same, Serena Williams put the news on her Instagram story and extended her heartwarming congratulations to both Carter and James.

“Congrats!” wrote Serena in the caption of her Instagram story.

The SpringHill Company is actually an entertainment development and video production company that came into existence in 2020. Intriguingly, Serena is one of its board members. LeBron James is another top athlete who has various business interests, he Lakers star also owns a stake in the English football club, Liverpool FC.

Serena in the 2021 season

Fans were not able to witness the vintage Serena Williams this season. Even though her performances at the Grand Slams were quite good, she failed to win a title this year.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner began her season at the Australian Open 2021 where she beat down quite a few top-seeded players and reached the semi-finals. However, Naomi Osaka defeated her there and ended her campaign.

Then, she began her clay-court season where she couldn’t make a mark. Although she played quite well at the French Open 2021 and got eliminated in the pre-quarters, the 40-year-old couldn’t succeed at the Italian Open 2021.

Unfortunately, Williams injured her leg at the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and hasn’t returned to the court since then. There are still doubts if she will be able to return to the court this year or not.

Fans still have huge expectations from Serena Williams and want her to return as soon as possible. Will she be able to win her 24th Grand Slam title before bidding goodbye to the sport?
