American tennis star, Serena Williams, has been a Nike athlete since 2003 when she signed a five-year contract with the renowned sports brand. Recently, Nike celebrated its 50th anniversary, as they launched some special edition shoes and other sporting goods.

Meanwhile, American rapper Drake has recently paid tribute to Nike during its 50th anniversary. Interestingly, he compared Nike with other sports brands like Adidas and Reebok. As he was taking names of some of the greatest Nike athletes over the years, Serena Williams’ name received the loudest cheer from the fans.

While talking to the fans during Nike’s 50th anniversary, he felt great honor to represent Nike; he was also wearing a Nike jacket. “It’s really and truly an honor. When you put things into perspective, you know Adidas has Kanye (West) I think. Nike, we have LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis (Antetokounmpo), Michael Jordan,” Drake said.

Serena recently got her own building in Nike headquarters in Oregon
Back in April, Nike unveiled the Serena Williams building at their Oregon headquarters. In the past, Nike unveiled many buildings, paying tribute to their athletes. However, this was the largest building Nike has ever made, as it spans nearly 1 million square feet.

Inside this building, you will see 140 tennis courts and a 140-seat theater named after her daughter Olympia. Apart from that, they have 200,000 square feet lab where the researchers develop new products and ideas. After seeing her own building, Serena said, “I hope this building encourages people to bring out the best of themselves and to dream bigger than they thought possible.”

Additionally, this building is environment-friendly as some portions of this building are made out of recycled products. They also have 648 solar panels. Apart from all this, the building also has showrooms, color labs, a library, and many more.
