Serena Williams once again proved her playfulness as she indulged in a friendly banter with former doubles World No 1, Rennae Stubbs OLY. The American tennis legend mocked the former Australian player as she shared a tip for the present players to work on their weak points.

It was so that when they play under pressure, they do not break. However, Williams saw it as a perfect opportunity to tease her near and dear Rennae Stubbs.

The Australian doubles tennis legend was sharing a piece of valuable advice for the young players on the circuit. She gave them an example of her own weakness. Furthermore, she asked them to work on their weaknesses and get prepared so that they do not break once they play under pressure on the court. She let them know that she had a weak forehand and that she worked on it to make it better.

She tweeted, “I am speaking from experience. My FH was my weaker side & as a player, u know ur own weaknesses & under pressure, bad technique breaks down. But there are ways to get them stronger & more reliable under pressure. Practice makes perfect & the off-season must be dedicated to that.” However, Williams commented with her playfulness, “We always served to it.”

Well, the banter did not end just there and Stubbs replied with a retort and tweeted, “Omg slim shady!!! Should i tell my secrets about you now?” Rennae Stubbs and Williams share a close relationship as it was the Australian player that guided her during US Open 2022 swing.

Williams on the double standards of people judging her 

Serena Williams is not someone who would take a backseat when people are going rogue on her. Initially, she let her tennis do the talking and then shut the haters afterwards. In an interview once, she talked about the double standards of people where she was seen as an “unfriendly” person.

She pointed out the double standards of the people who might see her rival Maria Sharapova as more friendly because she looks different from her.
