American tennis legend Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian is a tech geek. The 39-year-old entrepreneur has a venture capital firm by the name Seven Seven Six that invests in budding tech firms. Ohanian is pretty active on Twitter and since Elon Musk took over Twitter, Ohanian has been vocal about his policy changes.

While the Tesla owner has made some landmark changes to Twitter policies, Ohanian wants him to make one more. That will be beneficial for his own business. It is regarding the Twitter API. Here’s what Ohanian wrote about the same.
What changes does Alexis Ohanian want Elon Musk to make?
Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the very first demand techies are making to him is making the API public. It will help the techies come up with better and more innovative ideas and reduce the clutter for them. Ohanian came across a similar demand on Twitter and quickly gave his insight about the same.

The 39-year-old also explained how it will be beneficial for his own business. Commenting on the demand to make Twitter API public, he wrote, “This would be huge. Building on the Twitter API right now for Cerebro and I’m buzzing with ideas that I wish I could unlock faster.”
While the Tesla owner has already made huge changes in Twitter policies, it will be interesting to see if he acknowledges this demand.
Ohanian opposes the idea of charging for the blue tick
One of the major changes Musk made after taking over Twitter was making the blue tick chargeable. The blue tick is a Twitter account verification that helps one identify popular figures. It is vital in separating the actual celebrities and the fake Twitter handles by their name.

However, Musk has updated the policies now and now the blue tick is chargeable. One has to pay $8 a month to continue with the blue tick verification.

Alexis Ohanian termed it as a disastrous move that can backfire in the longer term. Being the co-founder of a similar platform, Reddit, Ohanian, has a fair idea about the business.
