Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian is one of the most active social media users out there. Moreover, the Reddit co-founder is a constant promoter of his various business ventures and investments. He is also the owner of Angel City FC, founded in 2020.

Ohanian is a keen follower of the NWSL and keeps cheering his team on several occasions. However, this time, he tweeted a different message.

Ohanian sends a heartfelt message to Angel City FC player

The 39-year-old sent a heartwarming message to one of the forward player of his club – Christen Press. Press also plays as the US women’s national team forward. Ohanian tweeted a pic of his dog Adora, saying, “Take all the time you need to fully recover.”

“Adora (and our entire fam) wish you a speedy & complete recovery.” This was in response to Press announcing the news of her injury on the platform. She said, “My heart is broken: I’ve torn my acl. Readily accepting all love, prayers, virtual hugs, dog pics, and smudging ceremonies. Love you all xx.”

Press scored two goals in eight matches for the club who are sitting 4th on the table.

Will Serena Williams return from her injury in 2022?

Meanwhile, Ohanian’s wife champion Serena Williams is yet to return to tennis this season. The 23-time Grand Slam champion last played in 2021 suffering an injury at Wimbledon. Since then, she has been working on her fitness.

At 41, Williams is still aiming to end a glorious career on a high. However, she may fall just short of the all-time record of 24 majors held by Margaret Court. The American has been a dominant figure over the last two decades.
