Remembering that incident, several tennis stars paid tribute to the incident on social media, including Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, and Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian.

Notably, all of them took to Twitter and shared some beautiful pictures. They also wrote some heartfelt messages remembering the attacks of 9/11.

Later, the 12-time Grand Slam winner and one of the trailblazers of women’s tennis, Billie Jean King took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt story. “My father was a firefighter, so the bravery of each first responder on 9/11 is particularly meaningful,” she wrote on Twitter.

Yesterday, Iga Swiatek won her third Grand Slam title of her career and her first US Open title. Moreover, she became the first Polish player to win the US Open trophy. In the final, she beat the Tunisian player Ons Jabeur 6-2 7-6 in 1 hour and 51 minutes.
