The 2023 Met Gala turned out to be something special. For tennis fans, all the pre-event noise was mostly about Roger Federer. After all, the Swiss Maestro was one of the high-profile co-chairs. However, it was Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian who stole the show mere moments before they turned up for the event. The power couple announced that a second child is on the way.
Williams’ baby bump was quite apparent at the Met Gala. Ohanian too, had his way of showing the world that he’s a proud father already and about to be a father to another child soon.

Serena Williams’ husband exudes class and announces fatherhood news in Instagram post
Alexis Ohanian is quite active on Instagram. In his latest story on the platform, he shared a combination of videos and images. Some of them were about him getting all decked up for the Met Gala, while others were about his beloved wife Williams and the couple’s second child.

One of the images showed Ohanian adjusting his cufflink ahead of his Met Gala appearance. If you look closely, you’ll see a cute ‘PAPA’ bracelet as well. There’s every chance that Ohanian and Williams’ 5-year-old daughter Olympia made it for him. Irrespective of where Ohanian got the bracelet from, it’s fair to say that it made for a pretty unique way of telling the world that he’s going to be a father (again) soon.
Ohanian’s post came on the back of their mega-announcement earlier during the day, which Ohanian made from his Twitter handle. According to Ohanian’s tweet, Olympia has “been asking & praying” for a sibling. Finally, Olympia found the answer to her prayers.
What kind of big sister is Olympia going to be?
Only time will tell how Olympia is going to be as a big sister to her younger sibling. After all, for a single child, it can be difficult sometimes to adjust to a new reality. It gets especially difficult if the new reality involves parents devoting more time to a younger child.

However, if Ohanian’s announcement tweet is to be believed, Olympia’s going to get on just fine with her parents’ second child. According to Ohanian, Olympia “is gonna be the best Big Sister”. We certainly hope that turns out to be true.
