AI is the new buzzword in the field of technology, and it has certainly caught the attention of Alexis Ohanian, the husband of tennis legend Serena Williams. Like Ohanian, another world-renowned entrepreneur, the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, is enamored by the power of AI. He has made some of the most resounding acquisitions over the past decade including his multi-million investments in the renowned online platform, Instagram. Apart from the social media platform, the 38-year-old American business magnate also bought the online messenger application giant, WhatsApp in another whopping deal of around $19.6 billion.

Both these acquisitions occurred a few years back when the respective companies had only a few employees managing the entire technical processes and challenges. However, despite that limited workforce, they both have made tremendous progress in the industry with the help of artificial intelligence. Taking note of their success, Alexis Ohanian recently revealed that this type of company building and value creation is about to finally make a comeback.

Being a tech-savvy person, the American internet entrepreneur has never held himself back from talking about various technological advancements in the industry. Alexis Ohanian has often used his online platform to express his opinion on various high-tech companies making progress with the use of artificial intelligence.

Notably, the Reddit co-founder recently brought to light some of the small yet highly efficient teams delivering world-class software by combining computer science and robust datasets. In the process, Ohanian mentioned the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg’s acquisitions that have turned out to be a resounding success in the industry. He tweeted, “Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion in 2012, a large sum at that time for a company that had 13 employees. They bought Whatsapp for $19.6B in 2014 with about 55 employees.”

The tech entrepreneur also asserted that this kind of business acquisition and development is likely to make a triumphant return. He added, “This type of company building + value creation is about to finally have a comeback.”

In the thread, Ohanian also lavished praise on the “highly efficient teams” leveraging artificial intelligence to produce top-notch software and applications. He added another tweet, stating, “Small, highly efficient teams delivering world-class software and more. Thanks, AI.”

The ‘Mayor of the Internet’ has been leveraging the renowned AI tool, ChatGPT to enjoy some family time with his daughter, Olympia. On his Instagram story, Ohanian revealed that he has been using the tech to pen down short bedtime stories, especially for the little one. Now that  Olympia also likes to craft bedtime stories with him, even his 5-year-old daughter has grown fond of ChatGPT.
