Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Targets Elon Musk as He Dishes Out ‘Physics-Based’ Advice to the Controversial CEO

Former American tennis star Serena Williams‘ husband Alexis Ohanian has been constantly speaking about the rapid decision changes by Elon Musk on Twitter. After Musk took over Twitter, there has been a flurry of changes and many people are opposing the ideas.
Apart from the changes in guidelines, Musk also made a lot of changes in the key positions of the company. While Ohanian earlier opposed the changes, now he gave his opinion on the right person for the job of Twitter CEO. Here’s what he said.

Elon Musk has made some key changes to the company. While the people are not happy with guideline changes like making blue tick chargeable, Ohanian is not liking the staffing overhaul. Recently, in an interview with CNBC, Ohanian gave his opinion on the same.

As per Ohanian, Twitter needs a new CEO. However, he denied his own interest in that role. Here’s what he said.

He further added, “The role of a CEO for a social media or community type site is as much a head of state role as it is a business leader role… Frankly, I think Elon’s time is best sent CEOing those companies that are physics-based, that can have a tremendous impact on our species.”
Earlier in October this year, Musk fired ex-CEO of Twitter Parag Agarwal and three other top executives. He has taken up the role himself. Recently, Musk announced that he is going to step down from the position once he gets the right candidate for the role.
Ohanian warned about the blue tick move
A Twitter blue tick helps people differentiate between the actual entity and fake accounts running on his name. It is a way was important for celebrities to use the platform. However, the latest move from Musk meant that the blue tick will be chargeable.

A user will have to pay a fee of $8 per month to avail the service. Ohanian was not happy with the change and also warned that it might cause a downfall for Twitter. Ohanian also cited the example of Reddit’s former competitor, Digg, which came up with a similar change. However, the change backfired, and it led to the downfall of the company.

Ohanian has experience dealing with such platforms, thanks to his experience with Reddit. On the other hand, Musk has a brilliant business mind as well. It will be interesting to see how Twitter does after these changes.
