Serena Williams’ Husband Reveals Keeping Venus Williams Funko Doll at His Workplace

23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams recently pulled out of the Miami Open 2021. The American legend underwent an oral surgery lately and will not be able to recover in time for the tournament. She hasn’t played a match since the Australian Open 2021 and fans will hope to see her back on the court soon.

Serena Williams and Venus Williams are both inspirations for many tennis players. The two have set numerous new standards in the sport, and it is no surprise that one can see their Funko dolls in the market as well. Recently, Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian admitted on Twitter that he also has a Funko doll of Venus Williams in his office.

“I have this one in my office too!” tweeted Alexis.

Funko dolls are pop vinyl figurines that are usually based on pop culture characters. Launched in 2011 by the company Funko Inc., both children and adults love to collect these dolls today.

Can Serena Williams win a major in 2021?

Serena Williams got off to a great start in the 2021 tennis season. Even though she couldn’t win the Australian Open 2021, she defeated the likes of Simona Halep and Aryna Sabalenka there.

Williams is 39 at the moment, and her quest for her 24th Grand Slam title has been going on for four years now. She last won a major at the Australian Open 2017 after defeating her sister Venus in the finals. Since then, the tennis queen has played four Grand Slam finals and unfortunately, suffered defeat in all four of them.
