Venus makes fans and sister, Serena Williams, remember the good old days

Following the tradition of Throwback Thursday, Williams shared a picture from when she was a novice on the WTA Tour. Although she went out of the 1997 Wimbledon in the first round, Williams entered the tour in style, with her iconic beaded hairstyle. To maintain the style, she carried a mirror to keep her hair, resplendent in beads, in check.

She added the caption to the post, where she talked about her first year as a pro and how her priorities were much different back then. She was astounded by the size of the mirror her younger self carried, but makes sure she still keeps one with her now, albeit small. Back then, the mirror was to keep her hair in check. Now, she uses it in case something gets in her eye.
