Together, they formed one of the most formidable women’s doubles pairs, winning a whopping 14 Grand Slam doubles titles. Off the court, they made several glittering appearances together and have always been beside each other through thick and thin. Recently, the Williams sisters announced a new collaboration and made a thumping start to it.

This week, Serena and Venus Williams are launching their podcast, Stockton Street, which is based on their lives growing up in Compton. The first episode will be released on 17th September, featuring many interesting tales from their lives growing up. Hours ago, the younger Williams sister shared one clip from the episode where they talk about her invincible period.

Talking about it, Venus Williams went on to say, “I feel like there was a period, though, where you were invincible and I couldn’t play better than you. It was like a two-year period.” Subsequently, Serena Williams explained what went through during that invincible period. “I think that’s when I went through my breakup.” However, Venus lightened up the atmosphere with a cheeky remark by saying, “Oh, I wish I would’ve broke up,” to which her sister laughingly urged her to have one.

Venus Williams was referring to the time when her younger sister was in a rumored relationship with Drake. The two were linked up since 2011, but there were talks of Drake and Williams going their separate ways in 2015. During that period, Williams won four back-to-back Grand Slam titles and looked invincible on the court.

Meanwhile, this interesting episode narrated by the two sisters was a perfect glimpse of what was set to come on their podcast. While the fans truly enjoyed this segment, they had a wish for the two sisters.

Fans want to see more of Venus and Serena Williams together

While the new podcast of the Williams sisters had the fans talking, they also wanted them to appear on other podcast platforms. While the younger Williams sister has called time on her illustrious career, Venus Williams is still playing in the tournaments. Although the two have had busy lives on personal as well as professional fronts, fans urged them to make more appearances.

One of the fans wrote, “Omfg yayyy!!! Pls be on all podcast platforms.” The two have seldom appeared on podcasts, but with their latest announcement, the Williams sisters could be seen more often on the show. Further, another fan wrote, “Airing on X? I really would love to listen, but cannot tolerate the chaos on the platform. I hope they end up on Apple Podcasts soon!” The Williams sisters have revealed that the podcast will be released on X initially, but could be out there on other platforms soon. A section of fans even questioned why the podcast was set to be released on X.
