Serena Williams misses the presence of Caroline Wozniacki in Toronto

The 23-time Grand Slam champion took to Instagram to share her thoughts about her best friend, Caroline Wozniacki. Posting a picture of Wozniacki via a story on her official Instagram handle, she said, “I miss you @Carowozniacki.” Further, in the picture, Wozniacki can be seen hitting a forehand on the hard court in Toronto.

Wozniacki won the Canadian Open title in 2010. Back then, she defeated Vera Zvonareva in the summit clash to win her maiden title in Toronto. Further, in 2017, she reached the final of the tournament but lost out to Elina Svitolina for the title.

During the post-match press conference after her first-round win in Toronto, the 23-time Grand Slam champion talked about her emotions after the win. She said, “I guess there’s just a light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t know, I’m getting closer to the light, so …. Lately that’s been it for me. I can’t wait to get to that light.”
