There is no denying that the tennis community sorely misses Serena Williams‘ dazzling performances on the court after her retirement in the 2022 season. But now that she recently picked up her racket once again, the 23-time singles Grand Slam champion decided to play with fans’ feelings with her latest ‘tennis ball’ transition video on social media.

In her latest TikTok video, the American tennis icon was sighted making a return to the court as she opened up about ‘working’ on her serves. After the tennis serve toss, the ball got switched to a skin tint, as the ‘Queen of the Court’ was seen holding the cosmetic product in her hand. Williams also added the caption, “Hey ya’ll! I was working on my serve yesterday and this happened! I guess I traded in my tennis ball for my skin tint lol.”

As the fans are missing the former tennis ace, Williams herself is missing the racket game as well, as witnessed by her recent appearance on the court. This is not the first time that the American tennis legend has decided to tease fans with such a unique transition video on social media. A few months after bidding adieu to tennis, Williams previously came up with the idea of a ‘tennis balls’ transition video.

Back in January 2023, the former American tennis player decided to step inside a tennis court after her retirement. In her Instagram video, Willimas was also sighted donning a bright neon green hoodie, that matched the hue of the tennis balls. As soon as she put on the hood over her head, the 23-time singles Grand Slam champion was then disintegrated into a bunch of tennis balls. In her transition video, Williams also added the caption, “#mood 🎾”

In addition to a flurry of fans, Serena’s sister and husband were also taken aback by the former tennis ace’s social media post. Alexis Ohanian flocked to the comments section to drop his reaction as he said, “Very nice transition.” As her younger sister uploaded the video during the 2023 Grand Slam event in Melbourne, Venus commented, “Literally us after staying up all night watching the @australianopen !!!”
