Gatorade pays tribute to Serena Williams

Sports drink brand, Gatorade, came up with a heart-touching video to pay their tribute to the retiring legend. In the video, we can see some important moments from Serena’s illustrious tennis career. The video was posted on the official Instagram account of Gatorade. American singer and songwriter, Beyonce, has voiced the narration of the video.

“When the world writes her down in history, we’ll begin where she started, at love. A love that started a movement. A movement to always love exactly who you are,” Beyonce narrated in the video. She further added, “(A movement) to always love being a proud black woman, a parent, a dreamer. To always love being you, the whole you.”

Later, Serena herself shared the video on her Instagram story. She also tagged Beyonce in her story.

Serena to play doubles with Venus

In her last tournament, Serena Williams will treat her fans with doubles participation as well. The 40-year-old has teamed up with her elder sister, Venus Williams, to play as wildcard entrants in the US Open 2022. The official Twitter account of the US Open confirmed the news.

Notably, the legendary sister duo last played together in the French Open 2018. The two have a brilliant record playing together. They have won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together with two of them coming in the US Open.

Apart from the doubles, both Serena and Venus will participate in the singles. Serena will start her campaign against Danka Kovinić while Venus will play her first-round match against Alison Van Uytvanck.
