Serena Williams and her husband Alex Ohanian rang in the new year by working out together at the gym. While at the gym, Ohanian posted a selfie on his Instagram account. But as he was posing in front of the mirror, he was in for a sneaky surprise by the tennis icon. Serena Williams and Ohanian have often shared joyous moments on their social media handles but this time around we are not sure how much the Reddit cofounder enjoyed getting photobombed by his wife if we consider his comments.
Perhaps a couple of years ago, Williams may have been preparing for the new tennis season at the turn of the new year, but with her family now being a priority, she is often seen around having fun with her husband and kids.

Serena Williams photobombs Alexis Ohanian’s selfie at the gym
As Alexis Ohanian was trying to take a mirror selfie in the gym, Serena Williams made an entrance into the frame and photobombed his selfie. He posted this on his official Instagram story and wrote, “Photobombed on Day 1 of 2024 smh”.
After disrupting her husband’s selfie moment, Serena Williams just went ahead and posted a mirror selfie video of her own on her Instagram story.
In the mirror selfie video that Serena Williams posted, she can be heard saying that this I the best way to start the new year, and that is by hitting the gym. She also used phrases like, “lets’ go”, and “get it in” to motivate herself to start the workout and also inspire her fans on the side to do the first day of the new year right by hitting the gym instead of doing anything else.
But that’s not all, turns out the 23-time Grand Slam winner is obsessed with taking the perfect selfie in the gym as evidenced by her Instagram post.

Nearly a week ago, Serena Williams posted a mirror selfie in the gym on her Instagram and highlighted why it is important for her to get the right click. She wrote in the caption of the post, “I spend 50% of my time in the gym taking selfies. Trying to get that perfect angle, that angle that makes me look snatched 😫. Well I found that angle so don’t look at me sideways when in person I’m a tad thicccker lol 😂
This does go to show that when it comes to clicking in the gym, the tennis ace wants all the action for her perfect angle. We wonder why did she decided to photobomb her husband’s selfie.
