According to Nike, Serena’s outfit is ‘Inspired by graceful competition dresses worn by figure skaters, The skirt includes six layers, a nod to her six previous title wins in Flushing.’
Serena has been a fashion icon and has always put on outfits that are a cut above the rest. Additionally, she often designs collections for her fashion brand S by Serena.

Earlier today, the 23-time Grand Slam champion emerged victorious in her first-round match at the US Open. She put on a dominant display to oust Danka Kovinic of Montenegro in straight sets.
Serena served well and gave her opponent very few chances on her serve. Additionally, she attacked Kovinic’s service games and broke her serve on five occasions. In the next round, she will face the second seed, Anett Kontaveit of Estonia.
