With love, perseverance, and championing her family, Serena Williams has redefined the meaning of victory with motherhood. Since welcoming her first child in 2017, she has taken on different roles for her children. Recently, she also donned the role of a teacher while teaching her six-year-old daughter, Olympia, English.

But she not only became an English teacher for her daughter but also found a different idea to make her English better. Since her retirement last year, she has focused on her family, especially on her two daughters. While Adira is quite small, dealing with a 6-year-old has brought out different sides of the 42-year-old.

Recently, a video of the 23-time Grand Slam championship is doing rounds on the internet. In that video, it was the mother-daughter duo that grabbed all the attention. The same video was posted on an entertainment page over Twitter, in which the former word’s number one was seen teaching her daughter some English words. However, the story has a huge twist.

Rather than teaching her from English-language books, she took the help of the American rapper Soulja Boy. While she was quite familiar with the lyrics of the music, Williams was seen helping Olympia polish her English so that she could have more clarity in her words and actions wherever she sang the American rapper’s songs.

Looking into the video, it won’t be wrong to say that the 33-year-old rapper has a fan in the Williams household. Serena Williams was dressed casually in a black hat, that perfectly paired with her necklace, which had ‘MAMA’ written on it.

However, this is not the first time Olympia’s parents have tried to improve her English skills. A few years back, Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, also took up the same challenge of making their daughter pronounce complicated English words.

When Williams’ husband took on the English teacher role

Back in 2021, the 40-year-old American entrepreneur put up some amazing stories on his Instagram handle in which he was seen having a fun English session with her daughter. The Reddit co-founder asked her to pronounce words like ‘Platypus’, ‘Serendipity’, and ‘Mitochondria’.

At that time, Olympia was just 3 years old, so hearing her pronounce them correctly left him astonished. Subsequently, he also praised her by saying “Good Job,” after the successful completion of the English session.

While Olympia is quite into learning new things and keeping up with the trends, it won’t be wrong to say that learning Soulja Boy songs will only make her better. However, what are your thoughts on Williams’ teaching idea? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
