The tennis icon Serena Williams has faced a lot of ups and down in her life, from losing a Grand Slam to facing injuries and problems that made her bedridden. A few years back, in an interview, the 23-time Grand Slam champion talked about how she spent her days when she was not playing or out of the game with a problem.

However, after playing for more than twenty years, the tennis legend has called off playing the sport. She has even reached the number one rank in WTA and has won 23 major titles with other allocations.

Williams discloses what she prefers in her free time

During an interview, the tennis star once opened up about the time she was suffering from high flu and was not able to make it out of the bedroom. She also disclosed that she watched a lot of television, when she was not playing, just like a normal person.

Williams addressed herself as a ” cable freak,” who used to stitch to TV for days and not move from her couch. The 23-time Grand Slam champion also named her favorite shows that she watched at that time. Not only that, but she also revealed that watching TV shows is her comfort zone. Even after coming from a tough match, she enjoys watching her favorite show.

She said, “The Avatar is my favorite show. It’s animation which I love. And I’m addicted to America’s Next Top Model.” That year before the tennis legend suffered the nasty flu, she defeated another tennis icon Maria Sharapova as a comeback star at the Australian Open.

After evolving from the sport, the 23-time Grand Slam champion has taken on other roles. She is now focusing on being a full-time mother to her daughter and is gearing up to try her hands in other arenas as well. 

The former world number one has several businesses that she wants to focus on, like her jewelery brand, clothing line, or her own capital firm, named Serena Ventures. She recently launched a children’s book, that is getting a lot of love from the audience. The book even made it to the top of newseller’s list.
