American tennis legend, Serena Williams, recently bid adieu to professional tennis. The 41-year-old, is now in a new phase of her life. After serving her tennis duties for 27 long years, the former world number one, is giving it all to her daughter. The 23-time Grand Slam champion, recently, launched her first children’s book.

She’s also spending some quality time with her daughter.

Serena Williams dedicates herself to Olympia

Serena Williams took to her Instagram account and shared an adorable video with her daughter, Olympia. While Serena does Olympia’s hair, she also reads the book, “The Adventures of Qai Qai.” Serena says, “Ooh girl, we’re going to do your hair today.” 

However, Olympia’s full focus was seemingly on the book as she thought the girl in the storybook was herself. “That’s me,” Olympia said. To which Serena replied, “That’s not, no that’s not you.”

While Olympia stood her ground that it was her story, the 41-year-old quickly changed the subject. “Tell me about your day. We at the salon girl. I want to hear all about your day,” Serena said.

Why Serena Won’t bring Olympia to her matches?

Over the years, we have known Serena as a fierce competitor on the court. Even if it was her sister, Venus, Serena would give her best, whenever they faced each other on the court. While we believe Serena is a superhuman on the court, she is a caring mother too. Apart from all the emotions and worries while at play, the most concerned she remained was for her daughter, Olympia.

Interestingly, the 41-year-old, never brought Olympia to her matches, until earlier this year. Recently, the former world number 1, revealed the reason behind it. Serena said that bringing her daughter to court will definitely distract her. While in the game, all she will think of will be about her daughter.

To save herself from that stress, Serena avoided bringing Olympia to the matches. However, at the US Open 2022, Olympia was present with her dad to support her mother.
