Serena Williams’s Husband Alexis Ohanian Joins Her Ex-Coach to Influence Women’s Sports Investment as a Vocal Advocate

When it comes to female athletes, nobody steps forward like Serena Williams‘s husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Now in this matter, the world’s former number-one Serena Williams’s ex-coach Rennae Stubbs was also spotted giving her valuable support. Ohanian is the owner of the Los Angeles-based female football club, Angel City FC and it very much shows his positive interest in women athletes.

On the other hand, Stubbs has always supported female athletes. She expressed her disappointment about the lack of women coaches in tennis. Now this duo came together to support the scene with her expertise and presence.

Serena Williams’s husband and coach came forward for an objective that mentioned women’s sports as “good for business”

Recently the sports lifestyle brand TogetherXR collaborated with finance company Ally and DeepBlueSportSent entertainment company to host a party where women athletes are celebrated and talked about. The theme was the growth in women’s sports. This party was conducted in the famous Rao’s Gridiron club featuring a bunch of important and famous sports personalities including Alexis Ohanian and Rennae Stubbs. Ohanian said- “It’s undeniable now you all are doing it, TOGETHERXR is proving it there is a tremendous business opportunity in women’s sports.”

Stubbs said- “It’s just getting people there to go, and when you do and you see the excitement, you’re like oh ok, let’s keep going.” Stubbs’s comment expressed that even the fans are interested in watching female athletes. This brings a window of opportunity for investors to not only gain profit but also help female athletes grow more financially.

Both Serena Williams’s husband and ex-coach graced the show with their presence. Stubbs also shared a photo with Ohanian from the event and shared it on her official X (formerly Twitter). She wrote- “We love women’s spots! We invest in women’s sports! @alexisohanian”

Rennae Stubbs brought viewership statistics to show the potential of women’s sports

Stubbs previously took the viewership record of Australian Channel Nine to show that in 2023 Australian Open female tennis players drew more viewers than ATP players. The report said the WTA singles final had 1.43 million viewers, whereas the ATP singles finals had 1.3 million viewers during the Australian Open 2023. Sharing the news, Stubbs wrote on her X (formerly Twitter)- “Don’t tell me Women’s sports isn’t worth sponsoring or showing on TV!” It proved back then that this WTA player and Serena Williams’s ex-coach advocates for women’s sports.

Alexis Ohanian and Rennae Stubbs’s presence surely made this event more exciting. Hopefully, more investors will join the bandwagon of popularizing female athletes and women’s sports.
