Serena Williams’ former stringer, Liam Nolan, has worked with many tennis stars like the Williams sisters. Nolan is the former head stringer at Wimbledon. After 20 years working for the prestigious tournament, he left in 2002 to start his own workshop, the UK Racket Stringing Association.
The stringer recently revealed many shocking allegations, from Wimbledon employees’ low pay to the Williams sisters’ behavior. Among such allegations, he also revealed how the former Russian tennis player, Anna Kournikova, was insulted by her mother in a public area.

Nolan stated, “I said: ‘How about I offer you a cup of tea or coffee?’ and her mum said: ‘Yes, a cup of tea would be lovely, but Anna will make the tea’. And Anna Kournikova was not impressed by this at all. She had to walk through where all the stringers were with a tray of teas.”

He stated that Kournikova’s mother had asked her daughter to make tea for him, which she found embarrassing. Understandably, this did not sit well with the former tennis player.

The popular Spanish singer, Enrique Iglesias, has been in a committed and long relationship with the Russian tennis player since 2001. The couple have three kids together. Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova met on the sets of a music video in December 2001. Aside from that, the couple has revealed little about their two-decade relationship.
Kournikova, the former tennis player, made her Grand Slam debut at the 1996 US Open when she was just 15 years old. She never won a singles title in her tennis career. Despite not having much success in the singles events, she did well in doubles, winning a few major titles. She retired in the 2003 season due to multiple back injuries.
Many tennis fans asserted that the former Russian tennis player preferred the celebrity lifestyle. They claimed that she was much more involved in acting and modeling projects rather than focusing on her tennis. Other fans were sympathetic towards Kournikova because of her injuries, which they blame for her unconvincing career. They also said that she was an incredible tennis player in her prime.

Despite this, the former Russian tennis player was one of Google’s most-searched figures in the 2000s, alongside celebrities such as Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Lopez.
