Life beyond tennis can sometimes be more fascinating for the players and there’s no one better than Kim Clijsters who understands this. The 40-year-old superstar decided to hang up her racket in 2022 to shift her attention to family and life beyond the sport. Now, being a mother can be full of challenges, but Clijsters knows how to handle them for sure. She spoke about the same in a recent podcast with tennis legend Andy Roddick.

While she opened up about the parenting hardships, she detailed the whereabouts of her children, specifically her daughter. Suggesting her interests in various things, she also talked about how she manages to maintain a good balance within her family.

Kim Clijsters opens up about parenthood while giving insights about her sweet family

In a recent revelation, tennis champ Kim Clijsters came ahead and shared the everyday joys of parenting her daughter, Jada. In the podcast with Andy Roddick, she suggested that her daughter, who is about to turn 16, just got her driver’s permit. Adding to this, she also revealed that she has a boyfriend in high school, but Jada is really open about it and the whole family has funny conversations regarding the same.

Despite her husband being of American origin, Kim Clijsters likes to implement both American and European parenting styles to make things work with harmony within the family.

“Jada is about to turn 16. She’s got her driver’s permit and stuff so we’re going through that you know start driving and she’s excited about that. She has a boyfriend and which is you know, I don’t know we kind of start my husband and we have a discussion of the European parents which is you know things are more open and outspoken and then the American side of the family where you talk about a lot of those kind of things and so we’ve had so pretty funny conversations in our household recently but she’s doing well,” said Kim Clijsters, in the podcast with Andy Roddick.

Thus, Kim Clijsters opened up about her daughter’s whereabouts while suggesting that she was just doing fine in her life. She also added that her daughter has got her driving licence, and is trying her hands on new things.

Further in the interview, Kim Clijsters went on to talk about her other kids and how are they doing in their lives. While revealing that she has two sons, she further added that there are two more Belgian kids who live with her.

Clijsters reveals about the other members of her family that stay with her

Further in the interview, Kim Clijsters went ahead to talk about how their other kids are doing. She added that she has a boy named Jack who loves to play basketball while doing his theatre. On the other hand, she also talked about Blake, her other son, who can be a bit clumsy on multiple occasions. Last but not least, Clijsters added that she has two more Belgian kids that stay with her. This completes her sweet family of 7 members.

“So life is good for her and then we have two boys. Jack is 10. He is playing basketball. Also like he is into theatre. And then we have Blake, the youngest. Everything he touches or he tries to do the nicest things for us he wants to set a table, he wants it and he ends up something always breaks or he’ll spill something like it everything we couldn’t change, but just clumsy and yeah so we have two kids from Belgium with us so we have five kids,” said Clijsters in the interview.

Kim Clijsters, who is embracing motherhood, opened up about her personal life while sharing what her kids are doing currently. While suggesting that everyone is trying on new things, she added that she has a happy family that loves to sit together and enjoy.
