Recently, Martina Navratilova, the 59- time Grand Slam champion, talks about Coco Gauff’s dedication towards the sport and her swing to get better.

Navratilova has a long history with the WTA Finals competition. During her career as a professional tennis player, she won eight WTA Finals titles. In addition, the tennis player has won 18 Grand Slam titles in important competitions.

Tennis Legend Martina Navratilova has seen a lot of younger tennis players get involved in and grow in the sport. Serena Williams to Coco Gauff, the 59-time Grand Slam champion believes that there is something similar between the two tennis stars which might be the hunger to win and the eagerness to learn more.

Recently, the former tennis player talked about the WTA finale competitors and while talking about them when asked about the 18-year-old young player, the Czech American is all praises for the younger sensation. She said, “I think she’s constructing points better, hitting the right shots more often, understanding the geometry of the court. It’s been fun to watch her progress. You can see she wants it so badly. She’s open to learning and evolving.”

The former tennis player appreciated her determination to the sport. It is quite similar to that of the 23-time Grand Slam champion, Williams. Additionally, the way the 18-year-old wants to strive for perfection at a young age stands at a different level.

The 59-time Grand Slam champion has chosen her favorite for the year-end competition, and it’s not the up-and-coming star. She has selected Iga Swiatek, the top-ranked player in the world, as her definite favorite to win the WTA Finals this year.
