The highly anticipated comeback of the tennis legend, Serena Williams, did not turn out the way her fans wanted it to. Harmony Tan defeated the American player in the first round of Wimbledon. Serena was missing from the centenary celebrations of the centre court of the Wimbledon Championships.

The reason accorded for that was because of her discontent towards not being able to have five courtesy cars during the tournament.

Why didn’t Serena Williams join the centenary celebration at Wimbledon?

Serena Williams had asked for five courtesy cars to be used during the Wimbledon Championships. However, she was denied that. It was because she wanted them after the 24-hour window after a player has been knocked out from the tour. As per the report’s claims, the American player wanted five cars for herself. These were for her husband, her sister, her mother, and her coach.

The source said, “She was told that was not possible because they had to be used by the other players. She was not happy. Maybe that’s why she refused to take part in the centenary parade.” The authorities supposedly grants each player one courtesy car during the tour.

This denial reportedly made her miss out on the grand celebration. However, none of the claims have been verified by the player herself. Serena Williams was enjoying her time at the Rolling Stones concert with her husband at Hyde Park. She also went to the premiere of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ at Leicester Square.
