Serena Williams missed her daughter while playing tennis
Serena was in a good form in the 2019 US Open. After winning her third-round match, the American spoke about the reason she prefers playing in the day. As she missed her daughter Olympia. “I actually prefer playing in the day because I get to go home and see my baby. I’ve been missing her the last few nights when I play,” Serena revealed in an interview with people.com.

She further added, “In the beginning, she would really be upset when I left. And now she’s a little bit better. I think I’m a little more upset. But at the same time, she definitely still takes it a little hard. She’s still super young.”

Serena continued to play the dual role for the next three years. When she finally hung her racket earlier this year, her five-year-old daughter was there to cheer her mother one last time in professional tennis. Serena is dedicating a significant amount of her time to Olympia now. The little one is also getting some important baking lessons from her mother.

Serena Williams said in her retirement declaration earlier that she will spend more time with her family. The 41-year-old has dedicated herself completely to Olympia now. In her formative years, the 23-time Grand Slam champion is trying to impart as many life lessons to Olympia.
