Shelby Roger’s choice of honeymoon destination seems to be quite offbeat. Many couples decide to travel to tropical areas for their honeymoon, but not Rogers. Being from Florida, the beach vibe was always near her. Therefore, she “wanted something different” for her honeymoon, fulfilling the couple’s one long-wanted wish.
Rogers took a break from tennis as she enjoyed the sights in the zero degrees of Iceland, the place that left her “second-guessing” herself. While she has been married for a few months now, she is still struggling with the nuances of marriage as she spends more time with her husband.

“A four hour flight from New York” will get Shelby Roger to her dream Honeymoon destination
After winning her clash against Claire Liu with two breadsticks in the ongoing Charleston Open, the 31-year-old American tennis star spoke with Tennis Channel about her honeymoon in Iceland. “We wanted something different, and we both had northern lights on our bucket list. And unbeknownst to me, Iceland is only like a four hour flight from New York, so it was way closer than I thought, and we just wanted something different,” she said.
She further added, “And we, you know, I grew up by the beach. I’ve been in Florida quite a bit. So the tropical thing is a little bit worn out, but I can see it any time, you know, so I’m like, let’s do something different. When we landed and it was, you know, zero degrees, I was kind of second-guessing myself. But we fixed the wardrobe and it was all good. It was beautiful.”
Although they struggled with the weather at first, Rogers found a way to make her honeymoon magical. However, she is still struggling with some aspects of her marriage.
