Chris Evert’s heartbroken message to Naomi Osaka might have caught the wrong eye

The Japanese tennis star has yet to regain her form after having a less-than-stellar season last year, and the entire tennis world is still waiting for her. However, Chris Evert is not the only tennis fan who is devastated by her decision to withdraw from the 2023 Australian Open. The 18-time Grand Slam winner expressed her sorrow on Twitter about missing the four-time champion’s skills and politeness both on and off the tennis court.

Martina Navratilova also commented on the post and wrote, “Here is hoping…” However, it feels like tennis fans are not happy with the way these two legendary tennis players talked about the 24-year-old player. Here are some comments.

A fan questioned their emotional letter and wrote,Ma’am she’s not dead.”

Additionally, some fans wrote, There better not be another unsolicited open letter from you to her please!” and the other one wrote, “you wanna write her a letter so bad.”

While an Osaka fan came to support her talent and wrote, Me too. She’s so good for the game.”
