Venus plans to return next year

While Serena had a decent outing before her retirement, the elder Williams sister failed to impress. The 42-year-old didn’t win any match she played this year and was not looking at her best. In her most recent match, she crashed out of the US Open after suffering a first-round loss. However, the seven-time Grand Slam champion is not giving up. In an interaction with her fans on Instagram, Venus said that she is not going to play any further this season. However, she will prepare herself for the next year.

Further, when asked about her doubles future, Venus said she has retired from the doubles now. It is nice to see that the legend is taking her time to prepare for her comeback. Even her fans would like to see a more prepared and challenging Venus taking the court.
