In terms of popularity, Eugenie Bouchard is one of the most famous tennis players in the world. She rose to the limelight in 2014, after reaching the final of the Wimbledon Championships. Although she has struggled to perform consistently on the WTA tour in recent season, her fan-followers on social media has continued to increase.

Last year, she had a wholesome moment in New York City, as she used her tremendous reach to gather plenty of people for a pizza party. Recently, she recalled that incident as a fan shared a picture from that event.

Eugenie Bouchard recalls her famous pizza party in New York

Recently, a fan shared a photo on his Instagram story, remembering the time he met Bouchard after a three-hour drive. Later Bouchard reposted this in her Instagram Story and wrote, Omg should we do genies pizza party 2022??

After the Canadian tennis player wrote on her story, the fan also reacted hilariously. “Yes Please!! But in Boston this time. Gas prices are through the roof,” the fan replied.

Notably, last year in July, she posted on Instagram asking for the best pizza place in New York City. A lot of her fans recommended Joe’s Pizza in the West Village to her. As she was heading to the pizza place, she asked her Instagram followers to join her as well. To her surprise, many fans turned up to meet her and enjoy the pizza as well.

Later, she shared a post on her Instagram and Twitter, thanking all her fans and asking all of her fans if they want it to be an annual thing. It is worth noting that she has more than 2 million followers on Instagram and around 1.6 million followers on Twitter.

Bouchard will play her first WTA tournament this year in Washington

After going through shoulder surgery last year, she missed nearly a year from the WTA tour. Earlier, she talked about returning to the French Open, but she could not recover in time to play the Grand Slam event. Then, she posted a heartfelt message about her withdrawal from the Wimbledon Championships, as it was not offering any ranking points.

Now, she is all set to make her much-awaited return to the tour at the Citi Open in Washington DC, where she made her debut in 2011. It will be interesting to see if she can regain the kind of form that propelled her to no.5 in the WTA rankings. Notably, the Citi Open will start on the 30th of July.
